Thanks to Homer, the famous Greek writer, the world got to know Troy. According to sources, the legend of the Three and the Trojan War was told by Ozan, a storyteller from Anatolia. Today the poem is of great cultural and historical value. The interest in the mysterious city has not left mankind for many years and led the German archaeologist Heinrich Schliemann to a sensational find. He discovered a treasure in the Turkish city of Canakkale (Ilion) and proved the reality of Troy ‘s existence . Now the statue of the Trojan horse stands proud in this city.
Homer’s story was set in 1180 BC. when Troy was a prosperous city and viewed with envy by its malevolent neighbors. The battle for the city lasted about 10 years. The first spark to ignite the fires of war was the beautiful Helena , queen of Sparta, who was kidnapped by the Trojan prince Paris in a fit of passion.
The long, arduous war might have lasted even longer had it not been for the Greek Kluge. As a sign of reconciliation, a giant wooden horse was offered to the enemy as a gift. And what was the surprise of the Trojans, who accepted this fateful gift with relief when armed soldiers sprang out. The city fell almost instantly. The legend of this cunning strategic move could not be forgotten, and now school programs from almost all over the world are telling this amazing story.
Ensemble Fire of Anatolia was born in 2001 when its irreplaceable leader, Mustafa Erdogan, invented great things. He put out an ad for dancers and more than 750 people applied. A strict and talented director was able to create a magnificent ensemble of the best dancers, and in 2002 presented the formed team and the first real show to the audience.
Today, the Fires of Anatolia have many awards, perform all over the world and hold two Guinness Book records for the fastest dance performance and the largest audience of 400,000 people. The performances of the ensemble are successfully held before the presidents of the countries in Formula 1 and Eurovision. Tons of scraps of fabric, beautiful decorations, and gorgeous decorations that many workers worked on made the performance a real art. Perfectly selected music and interesting choreography in harmony create an enchanting show from which one cannot tear oneself away.
The performance “Troy” is one of the most famous shows of the ensemble. It tells the story of a great city and a great war. The universal language of music and dance speaks better than any other language in the world. You will understand everything without words. The language of emotions is immediately transmitted to the viewer in the heart. And the heart doesn’t need a translator.
You will experience, resent, love and suffer along with the heroes. The huge stage will surprise you with its size. Realistic decorations will immerse you in the ancient past. The highest acting of the actors will not allow you to sneak in a single drop of doubt about what is happening on the stage. You will be fascinated and excited to the limit.
For the staging of the play “Troja” 150 robots are used, 150,000 watts of electricity are consumed. Designed and sewed two thousand suits, used 12,000 meters of fabric, 3150 buckles and hair clips, sewed 200 pairs of shoes. The costumes weigh 2.5 tons and the stage itself is 1300 square meters.
All this together is a grandiose, top-class show and a true work of modern art. You will definitely enjoy what you see. After the end of the show, at 11:00 p.m., full of impressions and emotions, you will return to your hotel to digest what you have seen and want more.
