Alanya Horse Riding

Need a few hours away from the pool? It is time to saddle up and get exploring the scenic countryside on Alanya Horse Riding Safari!! Whilst riding your horse, be at one with nature and enjoy exploring not only the beautiful countryside but also visit an ancient city and its crumbling ruins, followed by experiencing firsthand the Turkish hospitality in a local village with some freshly brewed apple tea. Or as the locals call it, “elma çay”.

The horse that you ride will take you through some of Türkiye’s finest and most scenic nature where you will connect with nature through your senses. Listen to the birds chirping and the streams splashing, smell the warm and earthy scents in the deep green forest and of course, feast your eyes on the wondrous landscape that unfolds before you. You will be whisked on horseback also to an old ancient town, where the age old city wall decorations will charm you and take you back to a time where you can imagine the hustle and bustle or early city life. The partially preserved city walls will enchant you as you enjoy taking it all in whilst on your friendly four-legged furry friend. So, saddle up and trot on to this adventure and have a wonderful time during your time in Alanya!

A friendly and experienced driver will collect you from your hotel in Alanya where you will begin the exciting journey to the horse ranch! As you arrive at the ranch, you will be greeted by helpful team members who will then give you a safety briefing about the horses and riding. They will also explain how to ride the horses and teach you the commands that you will use once you are mounted on the horse, for example how to make them walk or how to get them to halt. 

Once you are loaded up with all the information then you will be taken to greet the horses. You will see how clean and well-kept these majestic creatures are and there is a horse to suit everyone. Novice riders will be presented with a calm horse or pony, whereas more experienced riders will be given a more spirited horse, if they so wish. Small children are also very welcome and will be provided with smaller ponies along with a guide who will lead the pony at all times. Helmets on and in the saddle, it’s time to venture out onto your adventure!

The magnificent horses will take you along a track through the forest where you will hack along a path framed by towering pine trees. Take in the warm breeze and admire the breathtaking views as you trust your horse to take you safely on this beautiful nature walk. Keep your eyes peeled for some interesting wildlife, let’s see if you can spot any squirrels watching down on you from high up in the branches!

You and your horse will then make your way to an admirable ancient city. The crumbling ruins are what is left over from a Roman settlement. The city walls are still partially preserved and you can admire their authentically decorated walls. Who needs wheels when you’ve got these majestic beasts to travel around and take it the spectacular sights with?! From here your furry friend will then take you to a local Turkish village where you will be spoilt and drenched in the famous Turkish hospitality and sip on freshly made apple tea as you watch local life and soak up the culture. 

Whilst you are resting, the horse will have a well deserved rest too before then making your way back to the ranch. Once you are back at the ranch and dismounted, give the horses a well deserved pat to say thank you for not only your fun adventure but also for their warm company. From here you will be met by the driver who will take you back to your hotel comfortably in a fully air-conditioned vehicle.
