Konya is the oldest city with more than 9500 years of history from the Hittite Kingdom through the Roman Empire to the present day. It is the spiritual center of Turkey. The famous Persian poet, mystic and Sufi Muhammad Mustafa Jalal ad-Din-Rumi lived here. This ancient underground city consists of 5 huge rooms connected by corridors and tunnels.
