As you enter the Turkish bath you will be witness to an explosion of culture as you get to see how this age-old tradition is carried out. But why do I need a Turkish bath I hear you ask… a Turkish bath also known as a hammam…dates back to centuries ago when there wasn’t any plumbing and the local communities washed there. However, it is still very popular today as it has a huge number of health benefits.

Feel refreshed as you literally feel the toxins leaving your body when your dead skin is being removed, enjoy a relaxing massage which will help with your blood circulation and feel your lungs open up in the steam room, helping out your respiratory system. All of this leaves your skin looking noticeably fresher and vibrant, and of course it leaves behind a perfect base to start to build up your new holiday sun kissed tan!

The Turkish bath is available for your visit throughout the daytime, so once you have booked and decided the time of your trip then a modern and comfy vehicle will collect you from your hotel in Alanya and take you to the Hammam. As you travel to the baths you will have the chance to look out into the city of Alanya, perhaps pick out any restaurants you would like to visit or landmarks that take your interest and make a note as a reminder for another trip to plan!

Once you arrive at the Turkish baths, you will be greeted by a friendly team member who will show you to the locker and changing rooms. They will also provide you with a towel, bathrobe and slippers. There are separate rooms for female and males so you can get changed comfortably. All of the staff are qualified and will be happy to answer any questions that you may have.

In your swimsuit, robe and slippers it will be time to make your way to your first treatment. Don’t forget to bring along your towel too! The sauna room awaits you. With its high humidity and lower than a sauna temperature, the Turkish sauna room helps blood circulation. Feel the toxins evaporating from your body as you sweat, creating soft and supple skin whilst boosting your immunity. A menthol steam room will also help to clear your airways and give your respiratory system a boost.

The next stage will see you moving into a spacious marble room where you will lay on a large marble bench ready for your body peeling. This relaxing procedure removes dead skin cells, which leaves a perfect base for your new holiday tan! Feeling fresher already, you will have the foam massage which relaxes your muscles and softens your skin in preparation for an aromatherapy oil massage. The benefits of an aromatherapy massage are simply so many! From reduced headaches and reduced muscle pain to improved sleep and lower stress levels!

After your massage you are welcome to swim in the outdoor pool, or relax in the chill zone. Meanwhile, a member of staff will prepare you a freshly chopped fruit platter and some traditional Turkish apple tea!
