Cappadocia is a national treasure of Turkey and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The region’s stunning landscape was formed from volcanic rock millions of years ago. Swirling lava flowed across the highlands, filling the earth’s cracks, valleys, and rivers. Many small volcanoes under the influence of time and natural elements have formed incredible mystical landscapes. From flexible tufa and basalt nature has woven beautiful and undulating statues, mounds and peaks.
In Cappadocia, scattered cave churches and rock dwellings are dotted all over the place, making for amazing photos. A camel ride gives you the opportunity to enjoy a breathtaking view of the Open Air Museum – a huge futuristic plateau with all its colorful passages and attractions.
Wise camels, knowing their work, sail the rocky roads and regularly rock you on their backs. And you will completely immerse yourself in the oriental exoticism. You can take many memorable and colorful photos.
Depending on the time of your tour, you will be enveloped by the first rays of the sun at sunrise or by the last reflections of the day at sunset. You will see how light, playing in different shades, penetrates and envelops the mountain ranges, giving new shapes and shadows to stone sculptures. And the famous giant balloons that float weightlessly in the air give a special charm to every corner. This breathtaking view will not leave anyone indifferent. Each of your photos is full of colour, light and sophistication.
If you wish, you can explore the famous valleys of Cappadocia. You have the opportunity to explore the red or pink valleys, distinguished by their extraordinary color, the Valley of Swords with its sharp rocky peaks, or the Valley of Love, where there are hundreds of amazing pillars – mushrooms in a row.
On Cappadocia Camel Safari will see breathtaking places whose beauty simply cannot be overestimated. Cappadocia is a place you must see with your own eyes at least once in your life.

Camel rides in Cappadocia take place at sunrise, during the day or at sunset. Therefore, at the time of your choice, you will be picked up from your hotel and taken to the camel farm. After getting to know the camels and being instructed in how to handle them, you set off. And after the end of the excursion, you will be brought back to the hotel in about 2 hours.
Briefing: 30 minutes before the trip, the instructor will give you a detailed briefing on the safety rules and how to handle camels. You will learn how to properly communicate with these animals and can test the controls in an open area. All camels are experienced and well trained. So if you have never ridden them, this will not cause difficulties. You have time to become friends with your “ship of the desert” and set off.
Meskendir Valley: Meskendir Valley is one of the longest valleys and represents a gorge and a stream flowing through it. Scattered throughout the valley are rock folds resembling strong whipped cream. Here you can find dwelling houses carved in stone, temples, as well as old dovecotes.
Pigeons in Cappadocia are considered very revered birds. For centuries, they have helped local people grow grapes and fertilize the arid lands of Cappadocia.
Red Valley: In the Red Valley, the mountains are filled with amazing shades of red, burgundy and copper, nestled in the rocks like a pie. The slopes are particularly playful at sunset or sunrise. Strolling on camels among colorful rocks will give you the impression of walking in the valleys of Mars.
Hiking on camels along the Red Valley, which stretches from the Meskendir Valley, you can get to a panoramic viewing platform from which you can enjoy beautiful sunset views of the Cappadocia valleys and volcanic landscapes bathed in the rays shimmering in different colors in the setting sun.
Rose Valley: Rosental surprises with delicate doll colors. The valley is also home to a large number of old dwellings, monasteries and dovecotes. Really fabulous photos are obtained against the background of the pink waves of aerial rocks at sunset.
And when the sun rises, await a parade of hundreds of colorful balloons floating over the incredible valleys of Cappadocia.
Çavuşin: Chavushin is an ancient city carved into the pliable volcanic rock. Many different holes in the rocks testify to the real life of people who dug their houses themselves, hiding from invasions and bad weather.
Currently, the residents had to leave the city due to heavy destruction. The jagged mountains, like a beehive or a cheese, look very unusual, against the background of which shooting always turns out to be successful.
Valley of the Swords: The Valley of Swords is unique for its sharp rocky peaks – cones in which a carved dwelling or monastery is found here and there. You will be amazed by the fantastic landscape that looks more like a fake than created by nature itself.
Valley of Love: In the Valley of Love you will be deeply impressed by the amazing stone pillars that are 30 to 40 meters high and have hats on top. These mushrooms are also called “fairy chimneys”. As you trek through these amazing landscapes on camels, you will forget what planet you are on. The pictures in this valley are like some kind of adventure film.

Hot air rises. Heated air molecules “spread out,” or expand and bounce around, and the room becomes less dense than the surrounding space. By increasing the temperature of the air in the envelope of the balloon, it is less dense than the air and is therefore “lighter than air”.

I was disappointed that we weren’t able to go on the hot air balloon ride due to the weather, but I would definitely recommend giving this activity a chance. It was a shame that we missed out on the experience
