Perge was a thriving city established in the bronze age and has been well preserved throughout all of these years. Alexander the Great once graced the city with his presence as he walked through the admirable city gate and the apostle Paul has visited on many occasions to preach here. Inside the city walls you will see an impressive tower that dominates the skyline as well as walking through the many Roman Baths.
Aspendos is mostly known for its very well-preserved amphitheatre; in fact. It is still used to this day, hosting operas, ballets and concerts annually! The stadium can hold up to 15,000 spectators and is decorated beautifully with historic charm. However, there is more to Aspendos than simply its amphitheatre. Aspendos was also once a busy town in the area and there are many remains on the hillside for you to explore and get a feel for life as it was.
Side is a walled city that looks out to sea. You will become enthralled as you make your way through the town, stumbling across many wonders as you do so until it opens into a quaint street lined with souvenir shops and coffee houses.
Manavgat waterfall is manmade and stands some 40 metres wide. The setting is particularly idyllic and will provide you with the opportunity for some postcard perfect photos.

The day kicks off with an early start at 08.30, when you will be collected from your point of residence in Antalya by a comfortable and well air-conditioned vehicle. You will then make your way to the first destination, the ancient city of Perge. The guide will inform you of all the facts and fun information regarding the city of Perge. You will be able to admire the still-standing Roman baths, towering Hellenistic defenses and of course the beautiful long colonnaded streets!
From the wonderfully historic city of Perge, you will then travel to Aspendos. Listen carefully as the guide tells you some interesting stories and legends from here and points out some beautiful marble details.
Feeling hungry, it will be time for lunch. You will be taken to a lovely local restaurant where they will have an open buffet meal ready and wait for your arrival. Freshly prepared using local produce, the lunch will be both nutritious and filling and you will gain an understanding for why Turkish cuisine is so famous!
After lunch you will visit the stunningly well-preserved ancient city of Side. With its towering structures, city walls and gates there are so many photo opportunities to be taken! The two famous temples (Apollo and Athena) have some amazing history which the guide will fill you in on. The temples are made even more special and beautiful with their backdrop against the turquoise blue Mediterranean Sea.
After the temptation of the sea view from Side, your next visit will be to Manavgat Waterfall where you can soak up some wonderful nature sights and sounds. The gushing natural waterfall is beautiful and is it crashes into the crystal-clear river below you will watch it carry on its journey down the calm and windy river path. Towering green pine forests frame the river, and the fragrance from these trees are second to none.
Once you have finished enjoying the waterfall and its breath-taking views, it will be time to hop back into the transfer vehicle and begin your journey back to your accommodation where you will arrive at around 18.30.
