Antalya Olympos Cable Car Tour

From the very top of Olympos Mountains, 2365 metres (about 1.47 mi) high to be precise, you will be able to grasp the sheer beauty of Antalya, all whilst enjoying a fun and thrill inducing cable car ride! The length of the cable tour is a staggering 4359 metres long for the return journey and you will certainly have your breath taken away as you soar first above pine forests before reaching the starker mountainside of the summit.  As the landscape changes below you, so likely will the weather.  You will find the summit somewhat cooler than the warm Antalya climate and it has even been known to snow there in the winter months.

As you step out onto the walkway at the top you will be greeted by giant statues of Zeus and Athena.  There are several mountains throughout Greece and Türkiye named Olympos and it is debatable as to which one is being referred to as home of the Gods, however it is not hard to imagine why they were referred to as such, as you look out from the apex with views spreading for miles!

At 08.30 you will be collected from your place of accommodation in Antalya by a modern and comfortable transfer vehicle. The friendly and experienced driver will then take you to the starting point of the Olympos Cable Car. Here a guide will greet you and help you onto the cable cars, also joining the cabin themselves. During the 10 minute journey you can look out over the incredible views of Antalya, pointing out significant landmarks and soaking up the amazing landscape.

Once you reach the top of Olympos Mountain you will disembark from the carriage and have a good look around you. There is a cafe and souvenirs shop there should you wish to buy anything. If you have forgotten your camera fear not, as there is a photography service at the top too where you can take some pretty spectacular photos with the stunning backdrop.

The return journey back to base is enjoyable as you are making your way down and checking out any hidden places that you didn’t spot on the way up. Once you arrive back at the cable cars station you will be greeted by a team member who will take you back to your accommodation in Antalya for 15.00, with the rest of the afternoon ahead to spend as you wish!
