Your journey begins with a comfortable vehicle picking you up from your hotel. You will embark on a mesmerizing hike through majestic valleys in a unique territory created by nature itself. In this tour you can choose between Red and Rose Valleys famous for the colors of the rocks, Ihlara Valley, the deepest gorge in Asia Minor, Love Valley, Pigeon Valley or Zemi Valley. At the end of the tour you will be returned to your hotel.
Red and Rose Valleys: These valleys lie between the villages of Goreme and Chavushin and are divided into many small valleys. You will be amazed but this valley got its name for its pink rocks. Colors may change depending on the season, time of day and weather conditions. Walking through these beautiful valleys you will see several ancient cave churches and tunnels.
Ihlara Valley: The Ihlara Valley is a huge gorge that is 14 km long and up to 150 m deep. This is the deepest gorge in Asia Minor! The Ihlara Valley is characterized by the Melendiz River, which originates from the valley and flows into the village of Ihlara. You can see how the river creates incredibly beautiful shades of blue-green in the canyon. Byzantine monks settled here 17 centuries ago, carving dwellings and churches into the rocks of the canyon. In total there are about a hundred churches in the valley. In many of them you will find well-preserved old frescoes.
Valley of the Pigeons: The Valley of the Doves got its name because a large number of dovecotes were carved into its rocks. Pigeons have been bred here since ancient times. This valley is about 4 km long. There are several viewing platforms where you can take wonderful photos of the valley.
Love Valley: Liebestal will amaze your imagination with its peculiar rock formations that look like mushrooms. The height of the rocks is 20-30 meters, and some giants reach 40 meters. Love Valley is very beautiful, especially at sunset. Here you have the opportunity to take breathtaking photos.
Zemi Valley: You can visit one of the most mysterious valleys of Cappadocia – Zemi Valley. Local odd-coned columns are made of soft volcanic tuff and their odd shape is the result of millennia of erosion by wind and rain. While walking here you can find several tunnels, see vineyards and even meet turtles. The Zemi Valley is full of ancient churches carved into the rock with well-preserved ancient frescoes.
