Do I need to have any experience in horse riding?

Horse riding is accessible to individuals with no prior riding experience.

We offer tours designed to accommodate riders at every level of expertise. Our one-hour ride is specifically tailored for first-time riders, providing an excellent introduction to the world of horse riding. However, for those interested in more advanced rides, it may be advisable to have some previous experience in horseback riding.

Is it possible for children to participate in horse riding tours?

Children are warmly invited to partake in our horse rides alongside their parents, making it an ideal family bonding activity.

To ensure the utmost comfort and safety for even our youngest riders, we offer the option of ponies. Our salt lake stables boast gentle and well-trained ponies, making it effortless for children to learn and fully relish this experience.

Anything I should know before I book?

At our ranch, our team reserves the authority to decline riding privileges and issue no refunds if, at any point, they believe that such action is necessary to safeguard the well-being of both fellow riders and our horses. The Kos Island Ranch carefully evaluates riders by considering factors such as their riding proficiency, age, and weight to match them with the most appropriate horse or pony for their experience.

What is the maximum weight allowed for horse riding?

The maximum weight for horse riding is 100 kilograms. For children, pony rides are also offered as an alternative.

What should I bring with me?

Don’t forget to pack sunscreen for your trip, especially since the foothills and coastline can get quite sunny. It’s a wise idea to carry bottled water with you as well. You can conveniently store your bags at the salt lake stables until you return.

Is it possible for those who won't be joining the horse riding activity to visit the ranch?

Certainly! If there’s someone in your group who prefers not to partake in horse riding, they are more than welcome to visit our salt lake stables. While there, they can take pleasure in exploring our mini zoo, savoring the scenic natural surroundings, and indulging in refreshments at the cafe. This way, they can pass the time while waiting for the safari to conclude.
